Two of Chevrolet’s popular SUVs, the Tahoe and the Suburban, are getting upgrades for 2022. These updates include additional technology and mechanical options, new infotainment improvements, and more standard safety features.
More Tahoe and Suburban trims now offer a 6.2-liter V8 engine that utilizes Dynamic Fuel Management technology, boosting engine efficiency in more driving conditions — even when a trailer is attached. Both SUVs now offer 13 different camera views with assistance for trailered vehicles. This includes the transparent trailer view, capable of helping you virtually “see through” a connected, compatible trailer for better handling and road safety. Other trailering views include a rear trailer view, a picture-in-picture side view, and a view inside the trailer with an available accessory camera.
LT trims and above now feature a standard 12.3-inch diagonal instrument cluster, making it easy to personalize driving information in a way that meets your needs. The same trims will also have Google built into their infotainment system with features like Google Assistant and Google Maps.
All 2022 Tahoe and Suburban models come with Front and Rear Park Assist and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. They also receive Buckle to Drive, which will not allow the vehicle to be shifted out of park if the driver or detected front passenger do not fasten their seat belts.
The new Silverado 1500 delivers fully revamped interiors for all trim levels LT and above, including a new instrument panel and a standard 13.4-inch diagonal color touchscreen. These trims will also get standard Google built-in for access to Google apps such as Maps and Assistant.
Chevy has made updates to the exterior as well. A new front fascia is accompanied by daytime running lamps with walk up and walk away functions. And two engine options, the 2.7-liter Turbo High-Output and the 3.0-liter Duramax® turbo-diesel, are more powerful than on the outgoing model.
The most exciting thing about the 2022 Silverado, though, is the addition of the ZR2 trim. The ZR2 has made the Chevy Colorado one of the best off-roaders on the market, and now the Silverado gets to join the ranks, with a standard 6.2-liter V8 engine, Multimatic DSSV™ dampers, and an upgraded suspension.
The Silverado ZR2 is packed with smart off-roading tech like Terrain Mode, a calibration you can easily switch into that allows one-pedal rock crawling. Special tires, skid plates, front bumper, front and rear e-lockers, and even springs work together to make the Chevy Silverado ZR2 the perfect truck for hitting the trails.
Looking forward to checking out the new Silverado 1500? You won’t have to wait long — it’s expected to arrive this spring here at Fuller Chevrolet GMC Truck in Rockland, Maine.

Chevrolet’s newest innovative truck feature, the Multi-Flex tailgate, debuted last year on the Silverado 1500. Now, the 2022 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD will offer this handy six-function tailgate as an option for heavy-duty pickup buyers as well.
The Multi-Flex Tailgate includes half a dozen different functions designed to improve loading, unloading, and access for the Silverado HD’s cargo box. The inner gate provides a standing work surface and has a load stop that prevents stacked items from sliding out of the bed. When the inner gate folds into a large step, it has a weight capacity of 375 pounds. You can then fold the inner gate down for closer, easier access to the bed.
The Multi-Flex Tailgate’s primary gate also includes a load stop to keep extra-long items from items. And as with any traditional tailgate, the primary gate folds down so you can easily load your Silverado HD.
With the addition of the innovative Multi-Flex Tailgate, the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado HD helps you work smarter, not harder. You can simply activate the Multi-Flex Tailgate configurations with your key fob or two buttons on the tailgate. The instrument panel even includes a power tailgate button for easier control.
Test the functions of the Multi-Flex Tailgate — and the rest of the 2022 Silverado HD — for yourself when you visit Fuller Chevrolet GMC Truck in Rockland, Maine.
Electric vehicles continue to take the automotive industry by storm. GM recently joined the party by announcing an electric Chevrolet Silverado.
As Chevrolet’s first full-size battery-powered pickup truck, this new electrified Chevy Silverado will combine GM’s innovative electric technology with Chevrolet’s iconic pickup design. With both retail and fleet versions of the model, the electric Chevy Silverado will appeal to loyal Chevy truck buyers, new electric drivers, and businesses alike.
When fully charged, the electric Chevy Silverado is estimated to deliver over 400 miles of zero-emissions driving. The full-size truck will be powered by GM’s exclusive Ultium batteries, which also power the GMC Hummer EV SUV and truck.
These fuel cells are produced in Lordstown, Ohio, at the new Ultium Cells LLC facility. The electric truck itself will be built at GM’s Factory ZERO assembly plant in Michigan. The facility pushes the boundaries of a zero-emissions future as GM’s first EV-only assembly plant. By producing EVs such as the Hummer, new Silverado, and upcoming Cruise Origin, Factory ZERO continues to pave the way for an exciting and electrified world.
While we wait for more details about this latest addition to the Chevy lineup, you can get behind the wheel of the 2021 Silverado pickup when you visit Fuller Chevrolet GMC Truck in Rockland, Maine.
Now that the temperatures are heating up here in Rockland, Maine, you’re going to be using your air conditioning more often. But instead of a blast of refreshing cool air, you may be met with weak airflow and stale smells. Here’s a look at what could be behind those problems.
If your air conditioner is smelling like a musty old basement, there may be mold growth in the vents, or there could be a leak in the AC drainage tube. This excess water seepage can cause mildew growth inside of your car’s cabin. The unpleasant odor can also stem from a dirty under-hood air intake vent.
Does it smell like your kids left their gym socks in the car? If that’s the case — and your kids aren’t responsible for it — you may want to turn your attention to the cabin air filter. If it gets filled with debris and bacteria, it can give your vehicle the signature scent of a locker room.
Sweet and noxious odors
Notice the distinct scent of maple syrup in your car? It might be coming from the heater core if it’s leaking antifreeze. And pungent chemical odors should be checked out, too — they’re typically the result of a refrigerant leak.
Don’t let these problems go unaddressed — if you notice strange smells coming from your car’s climate control system it’s time to bring your vehicle in for an inspection at Fuller Chevrolet GMC Truck.
Here in America, trucks rule the road. Pickup trucks have been one of the most popular vehicle types for decades. If you are looking to join the truck club, here are three reasons why you should choose a pickup truck.
No other vehicles have better towing power than pickup trucks. Consider the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. It is capable of towing up to 13,300 pounds. Trucks also are available with advanced towing technology like the ProGrade™ Trailering system in the GMC Sierra 1500 that includes up to 15 camera views and lets you save multiple trailer profiles.
If you like being able to choose how powerful your vehicle is, pickup trucks are a great way to do that. Most models give you multiple engine options. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the GMC Sierra 1500 currently have six powertrain options — including the Duramax® 3.0-liter Turbo Diesel.
A truck bed can be incredibly versatile. This is even more so with the class-leading cargo volume found in the Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. These trucks are also available with a versatile multi-position tailgate. Whether you are looking for a truck for work or for play, the bed can make it easier to do both.
Need a versatile, capable vehicle? You can find all of the latest GM truck models at Fuller Chevrolet GMC Truck in Rockland, Maine.
The U.S. News & World Report’s “11 Best Diesel Pickup Trucks of 2021” list lauded all three Chevy trucks as some of the best to run off a diesel powertrain: the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado, Silverado 1500, and Silverado HD.
The 2021 Chevy Colorado removed its base trim from the prior year. It boasts a 7-inch touch screen to go along with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. An available Duramax® 2.8-liter Turbo-Diesel four-cylinder engine generates 181 horsepower, 369 pound-feet of torque, and can make your 2021 Colorado tow up to 7,700 pounds, the model’s max capacity.
The 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 sports an available Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel which produces a best-in-class 277 horsepower and a whopping 460 pound-feet of torque. Its 9,500 pounds of max towing strength represents an increase of 1,900 pounds from the previous model. Trailer Length Indicator and Jackknife Alert help you stay safe while trailering.
The 2021 Chevy Silverado HD is a heavy-duty pickup truck whose Duramax 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel creates 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque, all of which it channels through an Allison® 10-speed automatic transmission. Plus, its best-in-class tow rating of 36,000 pounds solves problems at work and makes it easy to haul a camper for family vacations.
The all-new 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali is set to receive GM’s innovative hands-free Super Cruise technology. This advanced feature will be available when the truck hits dealerships later this year.
The Super Cruise system is a huge breakthrough in self-driving tech. When the feature is activated, your 2022 Sierra 1500 Denali will steer itself down roads and highways that are compatible with the system. Super Cruise also ensures that your attention remains on the road by sounding an alert if it detects your eyes wandering. It can also intuitively switch control back to you if a stretch of road is deemed unfit or in the event of a potential accident.
This incredible system is made possible thanks to its use of multiple sign-reading cameras, Adaptive Cruise Control, lane-centering technology, and access to a map that charts over 200,000 miles of highway across the United States.
Super Cruise is also set to make trailering an easier task. When released, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali will officially become the first truck that will allow you to use Super Cruise while driving with a trailer. Hauling work equipment or camping gear will be an entirely new and better experience.
