Stop by Christmas By the Sea this Year

Christmas By the Sea

If you happen to be in the Camden, Maine, area this holiday season, come to the Christmas By the Sea holiday festival. This unique tradition combines classic holiday events with a local seaside twist. Great for people of all ages, the festival has been around for more than 20 years. We at Fuller Chevrolet GMC Truck can’t wait for the festivities.

According to Rockland and Maine, the festival will begin with a Christmas Parade that extends from downtown Camden all the way to Harbor Park. The final destination of the route is the Community Tree for the lighting ceremony. What makes this celebration unique is that Santa and his helper arrive on a lobster boat, not a sleigh, a Maine twist to more traditional celebrations.

“Most people would agree that Christmas is one of the best times of year,” reads the Rockland and Maine Vacation website. “For Rockland locals and tourists alike, this is even more accurate. Just a short distance away, Camden, Maine is known for its “Christmas by the Sea” festival that is a loved event by people of all ages.”

Local stores have holiday crafts and annual sales, while a number of restaurants are also offering special dishes in celebration of the Christmas By the Sea event. This is one festival you won’t want to miss.
