General Motors has been focusing efforts on the Mexican market, expanding its already-hefty consumer base. After launching the redesigned Chevrolet Silverado and Cheyenne in Mexico just a short while ago, GM has also brought the all-new GMC Sierra to the country, fulfilling its goal of bringing the next generation of the pickup truck to the Mexican market within the first quarter of 2019.
However, Mexico is only getting three models from the Sierra trim lineup: the SLE Regular Cab, AT4 Crew Cab, and Denali Crew Cab. All models will be produced at the GM Silao plant. AT4 and Denali models will hit the market first, though the SLE Regular Cab model will soon begin production. Even with the limited number of models available, the GMC Sierra will offer features for a variety of lifestyles — the SLE Regular Cab is focused on practicality and capability, the AT4 is optimized for off-roading power, and the Denali is a range-topping luxury truck.
The AT4 and Denali trims of the all-new GMC Sierra launched in Mexican markets on March 30. The Sierra SLE Regular Cab will follow suit after it completes production at the factory in Silao. With two powertrain options and more cabin and storage space than other offerings on the market, the GMC Sierra is sure to appeal to the consumer base in Mexico.
